I recently came across this video while browsing YouTube and I found this video very informative. It’s about how to create awesome videos. The video shows a few methods (both cheap and expensive ones) that you can use to create your videos.
1. Do it Yourself
For this method you will need a good camera optimized for YouTube. Gideon recommends the Kodak Zi8 camera since it’s much more affordable then most cameras and it has all the features you’ll need. I also use this camera to create my videos and I must say that it’s perfect for people that are new to making videos.
It is also important to buy a decent microphone because the internal microphones of most cameras usually suck.
This way of producing a video is the least expensive but can get frustrating, especially if you want to take care of all the details and make it perfect.
A good software for editing is the Sony Vegas Studio HD for Windows and ScreenFlow for Mac.
2. Hire a professional to make it for you
This method is very expensive and will cost you a lot of money but if you can afford this it will be worth the money spent.
If you run a big company this is the best method to go for.
To do this you will need to find someone local that can shoot the video for you and then do the editing while consulting you till you get the final product done.
3. Hire a film student
To do this you can go to the local film school and put up some advertisements for a job offer. This way you can find someone that knows what he is doing and he can get the job done for you quickly and in fairly affordable rates.
The only problem with this method is that the video result may not be as good as hiring a professional.
4. Hire someone from another country
What you do in this method is find a video editor from another country online and hire him to do the job for you. You can find people offering video editing and production at very low prices on sites like Fiverr and there are people you can hire that have a lot of ratings and many jobs well done.
The problem with this is that the file sizes of the videos are huge and it’s hard to send them to other countries. However you can upload them to a sharing server but that might kill your internet because you use a lot of bandwidth. It might also cause problems for the person that has to download those files and do the editing for you.
